PROF. MOSES NYANGITO APPOINTED AS DEAN, FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE

Prof. M.Nyangito, an associate professor in the department of Land Resources Management and Agricultural Technology (LARMAT) has been appointment as Acting Dean; Faculty of Agriculture with effect from 4th August 2020. Prof. Nyangito has held various managerial/ administrative positionswithin University of Nairobi.

INAUGURAL SESSION OF THE CSA CAMPUS FORUM

Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network (CSAYN Kenya), and the University of Nairobi held an inaugural session of the CSA Campus Forum on Thursday, 20th February 2020 at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, University of Nairobi, 844 Building from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. 

DO KNOW YOUR RANGE GRASS? RANGELAND IMPROVEMENT AND PRACTICES

Fourth year students in Range Management had pleasure to understand the difference between increasers and decreasers grasses species with case examples. While this study is well articulated, as a Range Manager or expertise in Range management acts as the best tool for rangeland rehabilitation. Students were also familiarized on management, distribution, propagation as well as grazing value of the grasses species.

CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2019 IN YOUR 62 GRADUATION

On 20th December 2019, department of LARMAT produced several postgraduate and undergraduate students in various SDGs disciplines. These thematic clusters includes, Dryland Resource Management, Land Resources major, Range Management, Management of Agro-ecosystems, Soil science. In  the upcoming graduations, we expect studies completion rate increase as most of students have defended their thesis. In solidarity, we believe you have gained a lot from your alma mater.

LARMAT POST GRADUATE STUDENTS SHINES IN RESEARCH WEEK: THE ARGRO 2019 CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION

In a thrilling and research experience on information sharing in various disciplines, over 25 post graduate students in LARMAT participated in poster and oral presentation of their ongoing and past research. Students’ research was drawn from various thematic areas.

This includes;
