SUCCESSFUL MASTERS THESIS DEFENSE

On 24th November 2023. Elkanah Kipkoech Langat defended his research thesis entitled “Evaluation of Selected Chickpea (Cicer Arietinum) Accessions for Tolerance to Soil Acidic Conditions under Hydroponic and Pot Conditions “. LARMAT WINS A DARTS TROPHY IN THE 2023 UON SPORTS DAY

Mr. Wilson Wanjohi, a staff at LARMAT   is among the champions team that defended the darts game representing Upper Kabete campus as 1st runners up. He has been the champion of this game since 2019.  The winner was from Central Administration Main Campus and    2nd Runners-up trophy went to Faculty of Built Environment and Design. Mr. Wanjohi, was recognized by The UoN VC and awarded personal trophy for most valuable player (MVP) in 2021 and Mr.

EXPLORING COLLABORATION WITH GLOBAL ACADEMY OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SYSTEMS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH AND JAMEEL OBSERVATORY

The Department of LARMAT hosted the Director of Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Systems at the University of Edinburgh, Prof.Geoff Simm and the Head of Jameel Observatory based at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, Dr. Guyo Malicha Roba on November 28, 2023. The meeting focused on possible areas of collaboration between the University of Nairobi and University of Edinburgh, and in particular the Jameel Observatory.
