Dr. Oliver Wasonga participated in a Global Webinar on lessons learnt from Covid-19 for building a better future through Sustainable Livestock. Various stakeholders representing the globe attended the 2nd and 3rd September 2020 webinar. In attendance were Chair, Global agenda for sustainable Livestock , Fritz Schneider, Director general International Livestock and Research Institute(ILRI), Jimmy Smith, Principal secretary, state department of Livestock, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and cooperatives , Kenya, Harry Kimtai and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and rural development, Nigeria, Dr. Abdulkadir Muazu. Among key topics discussed in sessions was “Livestock Sector, the pandemic, climate and natural resource use” is among the pillars that constitute Dr. Wasonga affiliated department (Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology) at the University of Nairobi.
