PhD student presenting posters

The Faculty of Agriculture on 25 and 26th October 2023  held a Successful Agro conference 2023. It was a great moment for the Department of LARMAT to present over 30 abstracts, with an award winning Poster presentation by PhD Candidate in Range Management, Ms. Margeret Nyaga in this Department. The conference brought out a learning opportunity through discussion with experts, scientists, practitioners on matters of food security, food safety and Sustainable food systems. The deliberations agreed that there is much need for partnerships and synergy with all stakeholders to achieve Food and Nutritional Security in Africa. LARMAT as a department has been in the forefront in contributing to dryland production systems that are much affected by climate change impacts. The 2023 Agro conference was led by the Faculty Agro-conference committee under the Chairmanship of Dr. Oscar Koech from LARMAT.
