On 15th September, 2023 5(five) Masters of Science students undertaking MSc in Land and Water Management (2), and MSc in Range Management (3), virtually presented their research projects to their fellow students and supervisors. Dr. Staline Kibet, coordinated the exercise. This has been a norm and a requirement that students orally present their proposals to the departmental academic committee for evaluation before proceeding to the field for their thesis research. Over 30 participants were in attendance. Their departmental committee was impressed by the efforts students (with the assistance of their supervisors) had put in the design and presentation of their research work. Recommendations for proposal improvement and in particular on the design and methods, among others, were suggested. The students, once they have incorporated the comments/recommendations from the academic committee, are to submit their proposals to graduate school through their respective supervisors and the Chairman of the department. We wish the five students (below) best of luck as they implement their field research work.
