TRAINING OF TRAINERS ON PASTURE PRODUCTION AND REHABILITATION OF DEGRADED RANGELANDS

Dr.Oscar Koech from the University of Nairobi (UoN), Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology (LARMAT) on 23rd -25th March 2022 facilitated Training of Technical team for Members of Participatory Ecological Land Use Management Association (PELUM) KENYA.The training covered Sustainable Pasture and Rangeland Management for PELUM Organizations at ACK Guest House-Kajiado. PELUM-Kenya put up this training in support and contributing to capacity strengthening for the attainment of long-term development goals through enhancing the skills and capacities of key individuals from key sectors of development in the ASAL project areas. The training targeted active person working in livestock sector from the project areas of the ASAL Regions located in the two Zones (2) Upper Eastern & Northern Region Zone and Lower Eastern & Coast Zone. The training contributes to enhancing sustainability of production systems in the arid zones and seeks to support assured livelihoods for communities.
