LARMAT HOST EXCHANGE TEAM FROM THE MINISTRY OF LIVESTOCK AND FISHERIES DEVELOPMENT, SOMALILAND

The Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology hosted a team of five (5) experts on an exchange learning visit by the Somaliland Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries development (MoLFD) and, hosted by the Department of LARMAT The visit buttresses the department’s ,  and  the university's core values for developing partnerships and collaborations with other organizations as well as an opportunity for the GoSL to learn about UoN undergraduate and postgraduate programs in dryland resources management, agriculture and animal production sciences. The collaboration will contribute to scientific knowledge sharing from the ongoing research works, support to community outreach and practical training to the partners. The team was hosted by Dr. Oscar Koech of LARMAT.

The visiting team was comprehensively trained on Pasture and feeds production, feed conservation, animal husbandry and management, animal breeding, institutional management and operations, and adaptive research for development.
