DOES CITATION MANAGEMENT MATTER IN THESIS WRITING; CAVS- UoN STUDENTS TRAINED ON ZOTERO APPLICATION VIA GOOGLE MEET

Today, 14 May 2020, over 142 Current postgraduate Students and former Postgraduate students were trained on application of citation and referencing tool Known as ZOTERO. This tool works close as Mendeley but has significant differences, as Zotero is open source while Mendeley is partially free. With Zotero software for your research, you can organize your citations, share and if your computer collapses, your Zotero Library is intact. Zotero software for References and citation management has option for multiple citations and can freely export library of citations to other citation management softwares. Through demonstration facilitated by Felix Kibet, UoN library expert, students had glimpse on how Zotero operates and installed in their personal computers for a guide in thesis writing. In attendance postgraduate students from Department of Land Resources and Agricultural Technology (LARMAT) were Ahmed M. Musa, Sharon Teyie, Daniel Masika, Lutta Alphayo, Haile Selassie G. Araya, Keziah Njeri, Bryan P Ogillo, Geoffrey L Lelenguyah, Ahmed Wali Mohamed and Yassin Yahya amongst others. Former student (Dr. Joseph Ssekandi) in Dryland Resource Management was also trained.
