CAPACITY BUILDING FOR STUDENTS AND RESEARCHERS ON ACCESS TO INFORMATION RESOURCES

The Department of Library & Information Services has organized online training on Access to Information Resources (Print books, E-books including core-text books, E-Journals and Open Access Resources) on 2nd and 4th February 2022.

The aim of the training is to enhance utilization of library information resources.

The main objective of the training will be to guide the students and researchers on how to access the subscribed electronic books, journals, core textbooks and open access resources. The training will also equip participants with knowledge and skills of accessing electronic information resources remotely and using online public access catalogue (OPAC) to identify relevant print information resources. In addition, demonstrate some of the rich open access resources that may supplement the subscribed information resources leading to improved access to relevant research works.
