We are seeking to recruit participants for the International Virtual Course (IVC) on “Tackling Climate Change through Global Learning” that is scheduled to take place from 1st July to 19th July, 2024.
This will be preceded with a few preparatory group activities in the months of May and June, 2024. The IVC is led by Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Switzerland in collaboration with the Department of Land Resource Management & Agricultural Technology, University of Nairobi (UoN); the Universidade Federal de Grande Dourados (UFGD), Brazil; and University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore (UASB), India.
The course will be conducted online and bring together postgraduate students from Kenya, Brazil, Switzerland and India. It will be interactive in nature, involving lectures, group work, case studies and excursions (where possible). We therefore intend to recruit a group of students with multidisciplinary background from various departments and institutes of University of Nairobi to participate in the course. It is in view of this that I take pleasure in inviting interested students to apply for the course. The application is open to on-going Masters and PhD students at the University of Nairobi, as well as those who have recently completed their postgraduate programmes. The application should include a motivation letter (NOT EXCEEDING 200 words) elaborating your interest; why you think you are qualified for the course; as well as confirmation of your availability during 1-19 July, 2024 (and occasionally (few days) in the months of May & June for course preparations) should you be selected. _____________________________________________________________________________________
