TRAINING ON TISSUE CULTURE TECHNOLOGY TO STAFF AT IGAD SHEIKH TECHNICAL VETERINARY SCHOOL (ISTVS) IN SOMALILAND

Technical team from the University of Nairobi, Mr. Constantine Dishumimana, Miss Sicily Muchira and Kennedy Nganga, - Biotechnology experts conducted training on  plant Tissue Culture Technology under the Collaborative research between University of Nairobi (UoN), IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary school  (ISTVS) and World Vision Somalia. The training was offered by experts from the University of Nairobi, Department of Plant Science and Crop Protection from 15th to 21st November 2019 at ISTVS, Somaliland. Prof. George Chemining’wa, Dr. Oscar Koech from the University of Nairobi and Mr. Charles Otieno of World Vision International officially closed the training and handed certificates to the trainees on 21st November 2019. The trainees were Godfrey Anyika Livasi, Kennedy Oduor Tembe, Nimo Abdirahman Yusuf and Mohammed Abdi Rahman.  The training activity was under the Collaborative research activities between World Vision Somalia, University of Nairobi and IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary School (ISTVS).
