SUSTAINABLE AND RESILIENT LIVESTOCK TO CLIMATE CHANGE

Dr. Oscar Koech and Dr. Oliver Wasonga from the University of Nairobi (UoN), Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology (LARMAT) participated in a workshop organized by IGAD Center for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development (ICPALD) with financial support from the World Bank Group. This process aims at developing an IGAD Regional Strategy for Sustainable and Resilient Livestock to Climate Change for Sustainable Development. The workshop aims was to validate to ensure accuracy and authenticity of data collected. IGAD Centre for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development (ICPALD) in partnership with the World Bank organized a one-day in-person meeting with the objective to review the report, and triangulate its findings to ensure quality and finally enrich the document. The workshop was held on May 13th, 2022 at Jacaranda Hotel, in Nairobi, Kenya.
