Soil Chemistry and Fertility

The section of Soil Science was among the oldest units of the Faculty of Agriculture teaching all soil science and related courses in the faculty. In 1976. The department launched a  Bachelors and Master’s degree programme in Soil Science and thereafter a Doctoral programme. This programme aims to equip students with the scientific knowledge and skills required to tackle technical issues on management of agriculture-related aspects in the environment such as reduction or control of degradation and pollution, and promotion of environmentally acceptable and sustainable production practices.
