Tree Planting

UoN Community on 11th April, 2025 over 2000 planted Avocado fruit trees and Indigenous trees ' Let us preach the gospel of Environmental greening and sustainability down to our communities and not only in Nairobi,' stressed UON. Vice chancellor, Prof. Hutchinson, as she addressed staff, students and partners that had gathered for the Annual Tree Planting Ceremony.

The University of Nairobi through the Faculty of Agriculture and  Faculty of Veterinary Medicine invites you to a Tree Planting Ceremony on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Upper Kabete Campus. 

The Chief Guest will be the UoN Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama. 

The University of Nairobi in partnership with the Equity Group Foundation, Kenya Forest Service, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Interior & Coordination of National government today are planting more than 5,000 trees on 18th May 2021 in various parts of the University.
