The Faculty of Agriculture , University of Nairobi today registered students in various degree programmes. The programmes are offered in the four teaching departments . These are ; Department of Land resource Management and Agricultural Technology, Department of Agricultural Economics , Department of Plant Science and Crop Protection and department of Food Science and Nutrition Technology. We welcome you to this faculty as you start set off your first foot in varsity Education.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has placed 6,407 students to study at University of Nairobi.

Dr. Judith Mbau, a lecture in this Department, on 5th August 2021. Participated in a meeting organized by the management of Taita Taveta County Wildlife Association (TTWCA). TTWCA manages Ranches and conservancies in Taita Taveta County.

Kenya has been ranked number 8 in Africa in the just concluded University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) 2020-2021 World Ranking . This is courtesy of the University of Nairobi top in the Country and 1222 globally.

Gandhi Smarak Nidhi fund (GSNF) has opened  limited number of partial scholarships tenable at the University of Nairobi, for Masters Programmes during the 2021/2022 academic year.

Interested candidates are invited to apply/re-apply for the scholarship through our online application portal (https://gandhi.uonbi.ac.ke) from Monday August 2, 2021. 

The Virtual  training will cover  theory and practicals slated from 3rd -6th May 2021.

Led by the Dean FOA, Prof. Moses Nyangito, students of Naivasha Girls Secondary School interacted with FoA Professors and Doctors, University of Nairobi. The virtual interaction and mentorship was conducted on 26th February 2021. They discussed the importance of Agriculture and environmental science in food security and the associated opportunities related to these fields.

Undergraduate  students in 2nd, 3rd and 4th  years at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary sciences, you are reminded on Campus learning resumes on 11th January, 2021. Welcome back to Upper Kabete.

Our goal is to get students experience at working in international spaces and as teams work on sustainable development goals mostly using their home institutions as case studies. The conference will test different ideas as it pursue great chance to partner with University of Nairobi and other institutions
