Dr. Oscar Koech, from the Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology and Dr. Sophy Ngala from Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Technology received visitors from Yunnan Agricultural University, at the dean’s office, Faculty of Agriculture. The visit by the team from Yunnan Agricultural University, China had a mutual discussion on how Kenya and China could collaborate in Agriculture and environment fields, with technology, innovation, and development research and capacity development being key areas of great opportunities!

On 11-13th October, 2023,  Dr. Staline Kibet and Carolyne Kyalo from University of Nairobi (UON), (LARMAT), and Winnie Nunda from Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International, (CABI), David Amudavi, Charei Munene, Charles Kimani from Biovision Africa and Dub Isacko from Kenya Forestry Research Institute (Baringo, Regional Centre) facilitated a Native PEP inception Workshop.

Students undertaking BSC Management of Agro ecosystems and Environments will be presenting their attachment experience  on Thursday, 21st September, 2023, from 8.45am.

The AGRO-Conference 2023 Committee is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the AGRO-2023 Conference, which will be held on October 25-26, 2023. Organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, the conference will feature both physical sessions at the Upper Kabete Campus and virtual sessions via Zoom.

Led by the Dean FOA, Prof. Moses Nyangito, students of Naivasha Girls Secondary School interacted with FoA Professors and Doctors, University of Nairobi. The virtual interaction and mentorship was conducted on 26th February 2021. They discussed the importance of Agriculture and environmental science in food security and the associated opportunities related to these fields.

Our goal is to get students experience at working in international spaces and as teams work on sustainable development goals mostly using their home institutions as case studies. The conference will test different ideas as it pursue great chance to partner with University of Nairobi and other institutions
