Dean, Faculty of Agriculture and Chairman, LARMAT guiding the CUE team during inspection of departments Facility
The Commission of University Education(CUE), on Friday 21st March, 2025], visited our department to verify academic resources available to support various academic programmes, including Bachelors of Dryland Sustainability Science with Technology (DSST). The visit was facilitated by the office of the DVC AA (Prof. Ayub Gitau), and Quality assurance (Dr. John Wangai). The team from CUE was received at the Faculty (Dean) and Department (Chairman) respectively by Prof. Moses Nyangito, Prof. Richard Onwonga. The academic leader, Dr. Judith Mbau was also present to pitch for the DSST programme. Academic, Technical and Administrative Staff of the department also graced the occasion.
Grateful to the CUE, in line with her mandate, for finding time to visit and inspect the department facilities, and giving positive feedback. This has given the department the confidence and impetus to continue pursuing quality in executing her mandate of Teaching, Research, community outreach and consultancy. The DSST programme is now at the KUCCPS portal and applications are in progress.
