CALL FOR AGRO 2023 - BIENNIAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION

The AGRO-Conference 2023 Committee is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the AGRO-2023 Conference, which will be held on October 25-26, 2023. Organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, the conference will feature both physical sessions at the Upper Kabete Campus and virtual sessions via Zoom.

Theme:

'Harnessing Research in Agriculture and Environment for Resilient and Sustainable Food Systems and Livelihoods'

Sub-Themes:

• Sustainable crop production systems for better food and nutrition security and livelihood
• Sustainable livestock production systems
• Innovations for processing and preservation of safe and quality food for healthy diets and better nutrition outcomes
• Agroecosystems management for resilient livelihoods
• Agribusiness, Marketing, Trade
• Cross-cutting issues (Policy, Governance, and Gender)

Abstract Submission:

To submit your abstract, please send it to agro-conference2023@uonbi.ac.ke.

All staff and students are encouraged to contribute and submit abstracts.

Guideline for application  

The abstract should be written in English language in MS word or rich text format and have a maximum of 300 words in Times New Roman font size 12. The abstract MUST have the following details: 

• Concise title (maximum 15 words)
• Names of authors, their affiliation and mailing address and the corresponding author contacts
• The body of the abstract should contain the objective(s), methodology, results, discussion and conclusion/recommendations.
• Key words All abstracts MUST be relevant to the conference theme and aligned to one or more of the six conference subthemes.
