Somaliland communities , UoN  and ISTVS team

Prof. Geoffrey Kironchi, Dr. Oscar K. Koech and Sicily Muchira all from University of Nairobi (UoN) together with Mr. Kenneth Tembe and Mr. Godfry Anyika from IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary School (ISTVS) conducted Agro-pastoralist community training from 26th to 27th March 2019 in Somaliland. The communities were trained on Good Agricultural Practices including crop pest and disease management using IPM, IWM, seed bulking, crop nursery management, safe use of crop pesticides, soil and water management, agroforestry practices, and plant propagation and seed bulking technologies. The aim of the training was increase farmer’s capacity to sustainably manage their natural resources and increase farm productivity. The training was supported by World Vision through the DFAT funded Australian NGO cooperation Program (ANCP) project.
